At Last.............

Finally I found an adapter for my memory card and was able to upload all the pictures from my camera to my computer. Thank you to the helpful young man that helped me figure it out at Wal-Mart. So as I promised in my last post here is one of the cute things I have been working on latley. These are table favors for our Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day. I got the idea on Splitcoast Stampers. I am a true addict to that site. I love it. It is made like a matchbook and on the inside it holds a Ghirardelli candy bar.

Someday soon............

I have not been very successful at keeping up with my blog lately. First comp. was not cooperating so I got a new laptop. Problem solved. Then the night of Steph's wedding I dropped my camera. Sent it in to Sony and had it repaired. Problem solved. Well you would think so. But now my memory card won't fit in the new laptop. And I can't find the cord for the camera. So I am currently on the hunt for an adapter for the memory card or a cord for the camera. Meanwhile I have been creating some cute things I will be anxious to share when I figure this all out. So hopefully someday soon I will be posting again. I hope everyone is looking forward to the Holidays. I know I am. Have a great season and remember why this is such a special time of the year. Don't get so caught up in the hustle and bustle that you forget to enjoy your families and be thankful for our Lord's birth.

Are YOU ready for a Challenge? Wanna win some GOODIES?

Halloween Challenge (was supposed to post Tuesday, little blogger malfuction and it didn't post)

I am going to be giving away a package of Halloween scrapbooking goodies (pics to come)to ONE lucky blogger!! There are many ways to earn a chance at these goodies.

*First, become a follower and you get one chance to win. If you already
are a follower, your name will be entered automatically.

*Second, create one of any of the following: Halloween scrapbook page, paper
craft project or card. Post your project to your blog and leave a comment
here. You may submit one challenge for each category and you can earn up
to three chances here.

*Third, post this challenge to your blog and earn another chance.

Now, here are the rules for the challenge....create a page/project where orange and black are not your main colors but they can be your accent colors. Refrain from using the words 'Halloweeen', 'Trick or Treat' or 'Pumpkin' in your title.

I tend to find that most of my Halloween pages are based around orange and black, with obvious reasons why. I just want to see how creative we can be to only use those colors for accents. And, I know you are all creative title girls, so let's whip up some fun titles for our projects.

I will draw for a winner on October 25th. Ten days ladies."

Just for fun

My Mother-In-Law accidently took home my chocolate chip stamp pad yesterday. So I took the oppurtunity to take a break from the wedding stuff and do some cards just for the heck of it. Steph asked me "Who are you making those for?" And I said no one. She said we don't have time to do things for no one. And I said Grandma has my chocolate chip stamp pad. I have to admit it was nice to be able to just have fun. But tomorrow it will be back to the grind stone. Only two weeks left. These cards are all from last years Stampin Up catalog. The last two were scrapbook pages I converted into cards.

Wedding programs

I had been trying to decide what to do for programs to hand out at the wedding. I came up with a basic design and thought ok I could take it somewhere and have copies made and then I wouldn't have to print them all myself. So I called around and the cheapest I could find was 49 cents a piece. Well when you need 150 copies that adds up. So I printed them myself. One page at a time because the printer wouldn't take more than that. I used 4 different types of paper just to mix it up a bit and trying to find one that wouldn't jam my printer. Then embossed vellum on my cuddlebug and layered that on the top added a ribbon and wala. As you can see I have 4 done. What was I thinking?

Favors

Well the wedding plans are going ahead full steam. I can't believe that in just a little over one month my baby girl will be getting married. But she is very excited and I am very happy for her and Travis. Steph had a couple of showers last weekend and we got the cutest favors so I thought I would share them. I am really hoping that when the wedding is done I will get my mojo back and be posting more regularly.

Race for the Cure

Hello. Yes I am still alive. Busy busy busy. The wedding plans are in full swing. I did find a dress yesterday so I'm feeling alittle less pressure. But showers are going to start soon and before we know it it will be Sept. Yikes. I will be taking alot of pictures but not sure I will have much time to do alot until after the wedding. But I did find some time today to do some scrappin. I try to do the Race for the Cure or in my case Walk for the Cure. None the less we were there and what a inspiration it is to be there. I was proud this year to be supported by my Dad, Rita, Stephani and Megan. Thanks for being there with me. It meant so much. I used my Page Maps book for the layout. I would be lost without that little lifesaver.
